Thank you, Christine and Joyce, from Mary Kay for having us at your studio and showing us your amazing products and special application techniques!  We had such a great time learning about important skin care tips and tricks.  Flawless skin gives you more confidence and lets you shine in any environment or situation.  The ladies at Mary Kay explained the importance of proper skin care and how each of their products work with our skin types.  Everyone is different with certain expectations of their skin care products.  Mary Kay has been able to develop several product lines that can meet your individual needs.

Cheers to beautiful skin and the ladies that join us!

It was "Meet the Primes" day at our May Luncheon and we are extremely grateful to the panelists that assisted us with this event.  Our panelists represented some of the top General Contractors in the South Florida area including D. Stephenson Construction, KAST Construction, AECOM Tishman, Turner Construction, LEGO Construction, Skanska Construction and Thornton Construction.  Susana Vela, one of the Directors for NAWIC Miami Chapter 41, was the moderator and asked several questions including internship programs, community involvement, and the process on getting prequalified with each company to be part of their bidders list.  Although each company had a different outlook on these topics, they all shared the same goal.  Empowering the minority contractors, boosting the community, and growing their companies from within were among some of the similarities.

Want to learn more about each of these companies and the opportunities they have?  Make sure to visit their websites!

Learn how to love yourself first, stress less and live more!  That is what we discussed at February's luncheon with Dr. Aixa Goodrich.  She touched upon several daily activities that can be long term stressers including certain foods, the way we think about things, and our overall lives. Dr. Goodrich also spoke to us about essential oils and pH balanced water that can help with various different things we may be experiencing within our bodies.

Dr. Aixa Goodrich received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Logan College and a Doctorate from Logan College of Chiropractic. Today, she treats patients of all ages, including infants and seniors, which have given her a wealth of experience, allowing her to best fit the needs of her patients. Ms. Robbs focus is to increase availability, build capacity, and grow contract participation by S/M/WBEs in SBBC's procurement and contracting. Today, we welcomed our new board members for the 2017-2018 year. The theme for the event was "Together We Can Do It!" and the night was filled with inspiring, empowering words from various board members. Mari Lopez of Jackson Health Systems presided over the ceremony while the new board members vowed to lead us through a great and prosperous year.

Aside from the installation of the board, three new members joined our Miami Chapter 41 and one member was presented with a Longevity Award for being with the organization 32 years. It was a great night celebrating with all those who attended and we look forward to an amazing year!
